Solid was originally formed in dark December 1994, out of the ashes of the band Spirit Of Youth. Frederik came on drums, his brother Dominiek on guitar, Kris on bass and 'Sid' Giovanni on vocals. The first song that captured the daylight was 'Blender', describing the thoughts of a serialkiller. Blender is also the name of the first live demo on Existence of Hate Rec.
Then the mini cd 'Sadness of mankind' followed in the Summer of 96 on RPP, with five songs that attacked rascism, fascism, religion and other diseases of society. Much shows were done mainly in the H8000 scene together with bands such as Congress, Vitality, or Liar.
A full cd came out in October 97, 'Darkside Moments' on Diehard Records (Denmark). The sound evolved more towards the Swedish deathmetal style as the H8000 scene (where Solid's roots ly) overwhelmingly got Influenced by bands and music from this type of metal. Sid didn't fit the band's style anymore and the line-up changed. Another singer, named Jim, was introduced with this record. In the same genre another full cd was recorded a few years later but problems with the release led the band into a few years of silence...

Now being in the beginning of the year 2003 Solid is back with the same line-up as when they started, taking it back to the roots to strike back harder than ever. The legendary frontman 'Sid' is tearing everything apart backed up by the bro's and Kris.
A few shows are successfully completed and the band is ready for tons more action.

With the 5 new songs that have just be recorded, Solid is introducing a musicstyle that combines
the band's early days NY hardcore mixed with some stonerrock influences yet still groovy and hardhitting. Songs that deal with endless fustrations on the world problematics and their vision on the music today.
They're ready to unleash the demons and show their darkside towards mankind.
Spitting out pure hardcore spirit, taking it back to the roots all the way.
