LOYAL TO THE GRAVE are the legendary forerunner of the new-school hardcore movement in Japan since the late 90's, taking it up to the next level. Their heavy-duty brutal mosh-core sound was unheard in the Japanese hardcore scene until their emergence and was something even HATEBREED drooled upon, requesting the band as their main national support act.

Featuring ex-members of STATECRAFT and formed as a 'side-project' in the summer of 1998, LOYAL TO THE GRAVE aimed to play hardcore influenced by Syracuse bands, such as ANOTHER VICTIM and EARTH CRISIS. In 2001, LTTG recorded their debut 4-song demo (entitled DEMO 2001) which was released independently in spring of 2001. This release quickly sold in excess of 2000 copies. USA-based label, DEVILS HEAD RECORDINGS (which is owned by Toby Dutkiewicz, vocalist of AFTeRSHOCK), added 2 more songs to DEMO 2001 and release it in the USA as the MCD NORTH TRUTH. Around the time of the USA release, LTTG had a few line-up changes, then contributed to the compilation CD, URBAN WARFARE, released on IMPAK MUZIK in Autumn of 2001. In march 2002, the 1st full-length album ABSTRACT SENSATIONS was released on Japanese label, IMPERIUM RECORDINGS. The popularity and subsequential rise in status due to this release succeeded in overturning the preconception of LOYAL TO THE GRAVE being a 'side-project' band. In 2003, the band participated in the compilation THE DOCUMENT", released in 2003 on ALLIANCE TRAX and a split release with USA's THE ACACIA STRAIN, as part of the DEVILS HEAD RECORDINGS split 7" series where both bands cover a SLAYER song. LOYAL TO THE GRAVE released the MCD INDISTINCT on IMPERIUM RECORDINGS in march 2004. In support of this release, the band toured nationally in korea individually, and all over JAPAN as part of the BLOOD OF JUDAS tour with EXTINGUISH THE FIRE and CRYSTAL LAKE.

LOYAL TO THE GRAVE have destroyed stages and enticed riots with the likes of HATEBREED, TERROR, THE PROMISE, HEAVEN SHALL BURN, CONVERGE, MAROON and many more. In September 2006, the band will release a full-length album of past material in Australia, entitled "168th Most Wanted Infantry" and a new single in Japan. "Still Climbin' Still Believin'" This is the title of LOYAL TO THE GRAVE's new album that released on IMPERIUM RECORDINGS on November 8, 2006. Since we formed the band in '98, we have kept on doing things our way. Today, still holding onto our beliefs, we will continue to march ahead at the front of the far east hardcore scene!

This new album "Still Climbin' Still Believin'" will become a masterpiece in the history of the Japanese hardcore scene for sure. This record has all the standards, fast thrashy riffs, mosh parts that destroy, sing-along choruses to pummel your fists to and break-downs straight outta of NYHC. All the hardcore essentials are here. we are also veterans of the live houses, so we know what kids have come to expect from LOYAL TO THE GRAVE.

LOYAL TO THE GRAVE also released an MCD titled "INDISTINCT" and 1st full length album "ABSTRACT SENSATIONS" from IMPERIUM RECORDINGS (Tokyo, Japan), we were also able to release an MCD titled "NORTH TRUTH" from DEVIL'S HEAD RECORDS (Owned by Toby Dutkiewicz from AFTeRSHOCK, U.S.), and a split ep with THE ACACIA STRAIN from Massachusetts, which helped us get some much deserved exposure abroad.

In addition, we have released records via SKULL & BONES RECORDS(Australia), VILLAGE KIDS RECORDS(Germany). LOYAL TO THE GRAVE toured with BIRTHPLACE over Korea in 2004, and already are committed to hitting the US in the future.
