» Biography
The Hope Conspiracy is a Boston-based hardcore/punk outfit that has built a loyal following through constant touring and a sound that transcends the boundaries of modern day underground music. Since spring of 2002 the band has been writing at a fervid pace after a long overdue lineup solidification. The outcome of this intense process is their highly anticipated sophomore album, Endnote. Recorded at the newly established Atomic Recording Company under veteran engineer Dean Baltulonis (Madball, American Nightmare) this reinvigorated, sonic demolition unit has created an album that showcases a whole level of explosive power, controlled chaos and unbridled aggression. Endnote is a marked progression from previous efforts as it is an amalgamation of elements from such diverse influences as Black Flag, The Smiths, Deadguy and Carcass. Jason Hellmann (Hydrahead) was recruited to handle art direction and design with the result being an extravagant and engaging vessel further enhancing the band's visual identity. Since the release of the acclaimed debut on Equal Vision, Cold Blue, The Hope Conspiracy has become known for their incendiary live performances bordering on uncontrolled mayhem and insatiable touring appetite. The band has logged a myriad of miles on the road with bands Sick Of It All, Converge, American Nightmare and Boy Sets Fire among countless others. The summer of 2002 found the band making key festival appearances at Krazy Fest, Hell Fest and Hess Fest. In addition, the band completed a US tour with Solid State's Stretch Arm Strong and an east coast headlining tour in August.
