Forming in 1993 and having roots in both eastern and western Pennsylvania, No Retreat have managed to create an underground following by playing and touring with many larger underground hardcore bands such as Earth Crisis, Blood For Blood, Shutdown, 25 Ta Life, All Out War, Fury Of Five, Mushmouth, Pitboss 2000, Krutch and many, many more. Their down tuned, death stomping hardcore sound is very reminiscent of bands like Hatebreed, Buried Alive and All Out War.

Rise Of The Underdog was produced by Eric Klinger of Pro-Pain fame. The record contains guest vocal appearances by Chris Hensel from Mushmouth and Karl Weinbrecht from Krutch.
