» Biography
reather Resist were not merely brutal, but it is certainly one of the first words that comes to mind when describing the Louisville, Kentucky foursome. Made up of Black Cross and one time National Acrobat member Evan Patterson on guitar, along with bassist Nick Thieneman, drummer Geoff Patton and vocalist Steve Sindoni - the band had an intense schedule, releasing an armful of disks with labels as diverse as Initial, King Of The Monsters, and Deathwish.
An absolute force to reckon with live, taking sonic cues from New Jersey's ever-visceral Deadguy and mid-western nihilists The Jesus Lizard, Breather Resist set out to remold all the stagnant preconceptions of heavy music. Vicious, progressive, and thoroughly unpredictable, duck and cover as Breather Resist were simply too volatile to ignore.
Breather Resist released their stellar debut CD "Only In The Morning" on Deathwish in 2003. The release was praised by many as being at the forefront of the next great wave of heavy music.
After touring in support of this release, Breather Resist released their "Charmer" full length on Jade Tree.
Soon after, the band saw the departure of vocalist Steve Sindoni. Taking this opportunity to reinvent themselves, remaining members changed their name to Young Widows and chose to continue as a three piece outfit.
After leaving Breather Resist, vocalist Steve Sindoni started a new band called "Pusher".
